Well, I've found these pitchers to be a complete waste of time, effort and money. The first time I tried setting everything up according to the instructions, I did not get a zero reading on the water meter.

I called customer service and they told me to let the pitcher soak in warm water with a scoop of baking soda for 10 minutes. That worked, got a zero reading on the T.D.S. meter. After changing the filter when it read .006 per the instructions, I had the same problem with the pitcher.

This time, it did not return to zero after the warm water-baking soda treatment. I called customer service, who politely told me they would send a replacement pitcher. I received an e-mail showing that an order had been placed, but waited almost two weeks and never received the pitcher. I called customer service again and they told me there was a delay in shipment, and my pitcher might arrive at the warehouse by the end of this week.

So here we are going on week three without a pitcher. I'm also stuck with the cost of the replacement filters I purchased (2-pack), which at this point are already opened and of no use.

Do yourself a favor and buy another brand. This was a rotten experience.

Monetary Loss: $55.

My question would be 2 things:

1. Did you tighten the filter as far as it could go?

You don't want the water from above leaking downward.

2.

Is the O-Ring provided with the filter present? Otherwise, the same thing would happen.

It sounds like you need to go back to pitcher school! I couldn't imagine not figuring out how to screw the filter into its mount....!

And like I told the last guy, be a happy customer and return the filter to Walmart! They take anything back.....(Heres another little secret) "Even without the receipt!"

I love my filter, it works great.

Not everything manufactured in the great unknown is going to work for everyone exactly how its supposed to. Keep the receipt and take it back if it doesn't work as prescibed.
