The filters do not last long and water smells like foul shrimp when the filter is "done". All ice needs to be thrown out when this happens.

Very little water filtered before a new filter is needed.

Mailed back 2 used filters with promise of receiving $10 rebate/coupon. Cost me $10 to send them. Tried to do the "green" thing.

SCAM ! no rebate - no coupon. To get a $10 credit I need to buy new filters _on line_ or over the phone - shipping cost is $6.95. So trying to be "green" would cost me about $8 more for every 2 filters.

I'm done. Should not have bought the ZeroWater.

Wish I had read comments like the ones I discovered today. I would try to get my money back if I hadn't had it so long.

My mother-in-law bought us a zero water pitcher and for about a week and a half, it was amazing. Then it started to taste weird and now it's undrinkable. Sorely disappointed because the water initially tasted amazing.

Filters used to last us almost 4 weeks now only lasts 2.5 weeks. We test our tap water all the time. Nothing has changed except for the manufacturing we believe.

I experienced the same thing, as did my father. My filter was great and then started to smell like lemons after a couple of weeks.

I didn't even think to check whether the filter needed to be replaced because I couldn't believe it could have gone bad that quickly. Today I checked the water with the little water tester, and it was really high. I compared it to tap water and it was almost twice as high ... is the filter leaking all of the bad stuff that it had filtered out?

That's the only explanation I can come up with. Anyway, I'm bummed cause I read that Zero Water filters got the most contaminants out but I can't afford to replace a $15 filter twice per month.

The same thing happened to me. I read one comment on the zerowater facebook page that a filter will work to filter 5 gallons.

I can buy 5 gallons of RO water for $1.25. The filter costs about $10.00.

Guess which route I'm going to take? I'll be hauling water jugs to get my RO water.

JUST GOT ZERO WATER AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED, FILLED THE PITCHER UP ONLY 4 TIMES AND IT ALREADY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. AT THIS RATE I WOULD NEED 4 FILTERS A MONTH AND NOT WORTH IT. WILL LOOK INTO A HOME WATER SYSTEM.

Zero changed the filters to the new tapered filters and took out about half the filter media. My first one, the old style, lasted me a month at 315 ppm tap water.

The new ones lasted one week each. They are ***. They changed the product, made them cheaper to produce, but drastically reduced the life. No longer a good by.

This company is ***, they had a great product, but have ruined it with greed, and in the long run, will not last. Way too expensive now.

$45-60 a month for one person. Not!

Our first filters lasted about 4 months. Since then we have had to change them monthly! The water tastes great, but we can't afford to get filters every month.

I've experienced the same shrimp smell and nasty ice using the Zero Water. I never got the 0 reading, however, I would get a 1. Tap water is in the 160s, Zero Water is 58.

One week later water tasted like lime?then the fish smell and taste started. Went back to my Old filter and pitcher. No stench and cheaper too.

Eric you are soooo wrong. I changed over from "Pur".

The zero water tested great for about 2 months then I tried the water and it had a foul taste. The Tester came up over 800 TDS, much higher the current Los Angeles tap water tested. Don't know what the problem is but it sounds like maybe the filter is failing and dumping the stuff back into the water. Also sounds dangerous.

Going to contact the mfg about this but, no this is not a false claims. Could be a real heath risk!

called headquarters to ask about email coupons. The rep.

told me they email them out once every month. Informed her I hadn't received anything. About to mail 2 used refills. Don't think so now, after reading consumer complaints.

I have noticed I have to replace filters every 2-3 weeks.

Nervous about the cost. Not sure what I'm going to do.

Filter worked fine for 2 weeks, then it failed all of a sudden. Water was worse then the tap water.

zero water stinks. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I called for my rebate 3 times, and emailed 3 times. "Josh is looking into it" its been 95 days! pay me my $15 they do NOT send them out. Ripoffs.

filters are expensive and do NOT last.

Note complaints, the two good reviews are from the same person and posted at the same time, thus trying to bury complaints. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Bought our system approximately 2 weeks ago, re-filled pitcher three times and the filter is already needing to be changed. Would not recommend.

Zero Water has the best in home filters in the market with the best quality water! I've had my filter now for 6 months and the water has no smell and it tastes great...pure tasting water testing zero for contaminants!

Seems to be a lot of trouble makers making false claims on here. Competitors maybe?

This is happening to me too. I think it is time for a class action law suit.

Eric you are so wrong as a matter of fact I purchased the Zero Water Cooler when they first came out and I was very happy with the product and for me was the best investment ever. I never had to purchase bottle water ever again.

Now in the past year I have a pitcher because my cooler is in the states and I am not. I did bring filters with me which btw have changed drastically . After a few gallons of water I do get this residue which I had never seen before and a "fishy" smell and taste coming from the water in the pitcher. Not a trouble maker I was one that recommended Zero Water to many people and many did purchase the item but lets be fair everyone cant be wrong here with the same problem.

Has ZeroWater changed the way they make their filters what is the difference? I have had this product for more than 7 years and I swore by it. Now hmm I dont know I just told my nephew the water is tasting fishy time to change the filter but damm I just changed it not to long ago wtf?

Something is wrong either the manufacturing has gotten really cheap or they just dont care.

It was not this way when I first purchased it .

So someone reading this from Zero Water please respond. thank you I'd like to know
