Interestng article. Have same problem of filter not filtering after about 5 - 6 gallons, particularly the newere cone shaped filters.
SO? . . .
just how do you burp the 'puppy' over the sink? I tried turning filter upside down and slapping the bottom, and doing visa versa. I slapped the filter on it's side. My previous filters would give me up to 22 gallons of water before I woould get high readings on my meter.
Really like your product and would like to get this resolved and back on track with getting plenty of good drink water and worry free operations. Thank you

Fill the reservoir and then use a chopstick in the center hole to gently prod the burp out. Do not prod to hard or you will ruin the filter. Several pushes on the chopstick and Voila water running thru the filter as if it were new.
If you tap both sides of the container (pitcher or larger unit) it causes the existing water in the bottom to 'shock' the filter. It will release the air bubbles in the filter and cause it to filter at an acceptable rate
Right
I really have no knedlowge of water towers. You have probably thought of all of these concerns, nevertheless: 1.
Make sure you have it located the tower high enough to provide good pressure to the top of your home even when the water level is low in the tower.2. Be sure to design it so you can inspect it. You will probably have to clean it out periodically even if you filter the water before it goes in.3. I would be sure to treat it to get ride of bacteria as the water enters the tower and then treat it as it leaves to achieve sterility at the furtherest ends of the system.4.
You also better install on the top a lightning rod and ground it. The tower would be a great target to have a lightning strike and burn it down even if it is full of water!Good luck!Fred
