Zerowater - Good idea, bad performance.
The water valve of 30-cap dispenser has poor engineering, I'm not sure for purpose or not. Very thin plastic shaft brakes (see photo) in less than a year and you have to buy the whole new system, wasting good parts.
I had this issue with my first purchase of the system and I bought second one, thinking that it was just unfortunate event. No, the second system broke even sooner. Good job, ZeroWater! I decided to look closely why it happens and if I can fix it.
Yes, I found the way. Not the prettiest look, but it works fine and it will last forever (see photo). If Z-W were making this shaft, say- from the cheap nail (ha-ha!), they wouldn't have such problem. Thus, it makes me thinking that Z-W just makes money on these valve-failures.
So, if you like this system be ready to buy a new one every ear or so. Or fix it.
Good luck! youtube.com/c/RealRussianNews
