Just bought ZeroWater from Costco last week of June 2017. In just 3 weeks, the water taste like lemon.
Dumped the whole 23-cup pitcher and refill with water again. The same thing, lemon taste still. Replaced the filter, the foul taste is gone. I emailed the ZeroWater customer service, they attested that their filter is not the cause.
Just how much water went through the filter. I think the filter has a built-in trigger that causes the lemon taste to indicate the filter needs to be replaced. Their filters is way-way expensive compared to other brands. Other water filtration brands does not shoot this foul taste thus forcing consumer to replace the filter.
I may have to save an old filter to get it examined by professionals to look into what is causing the lemon taste.
If this is built-in, ZeroWater may be in violation of certain consumer violations. DO NOT BUY ZERO WATER!!!
