For some reason my(most likely all) zero water filter takes my 7.4 ph tap water down to 4.4 far to acidic. Wondering if anyone else is/has had this problem.

Curiousif the manufacture reads these sites. Pretty sure drinking water is best when it's 7+ in ph. Have no reason why this filter would lower it so drastically.

At this point I will just type words for no reason because a dumb need for 100+ words when I covered everything in the first two sentences. This is ridiculous I should have never started anything on this site.bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla

Reason of review: Lower ph.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Zerowater Pros: Taste.

Yesterday and again this morning I to have experienced a very acid-ed taste. My question is how long should the filter last before needing to be replaced.

Hello, Filter life varies per household. Filter life is based on the amount of TDS (total dissolved solids) and household water consumption.

If you contact our customer service team and let them know your TDS levels they should be able to advise how many gallons you will receive per filter. (800) 503-2939

If your filter has reached end of life and you continue to use it this will further deteriorate the ion beads and a reduction in pH may occur. The reduction in pH is not dangerous but there is a chance under extreme filter exhaustion that the pH levels may be reduced low enough to where you will experience a taste difference in the water, occurring at a meter reading below 1 or 2.

Once the filter reaches end of life, you may experience an acidic or slightly fishy smell/taste in the water.

As indicated in our instructions, once the digital meter reaches 006 or the light indicator lights up (depending on which was included in your device) you should discontinue the use of the expired filter and replace it. Our filtration has an end of life indication whereas standard filters do not.
