My experience with the zero water filter and resulting sour taste after a few pitchers is exactly as stated here by others. I'm returning mine for a refund. .

I have bought a Zerowater filter. Right from day 1, I find the water to have sour taste unlike water from other good filters. I then tested the water with the water tester given by the Zerowater filter. It shows no light. No light should indicate good water. When I use the same tester in tap water, it shows bright red light which indicates bad water- I guess. Why then the water from the Zerowater filter is tasting sour. The water from the tap...

I've been using a ZEROWATER pitcher for 4 years.I fill it daily and never had to change filter more often than 3.5 months. Last month I changed my filter and it went bad in 5 days. Thinking it might be a bad filter, I changed to a new filter that went bad in 4 days and then another one in 2 days (is ZeroWater trying to make a record?) never in last 4 years I had any issue and now this is frustrating. There is sour taste in water and I am using...

Yea, like we suspected, they don't work as well as advertised. Don't waste your $ just install a 20" carbon filter for 20 bucks. They last weeks if not a month and work just as well.

After buying a Zerowater pitcher, the water just came out tasting like acid or lemon on the first pour to the 100th pour with no improvement. Expensive. Disappointed. THANKS FOR STEALING OUR HARD EARNED MONEY, ZEROWATER.

These filters are made with micro beads. Micro beads were banned in 2015. The beads filtered out into my glass and I was drinking them.

So I did my own precise water study. I purchased two filters form different stores even. One lasted 5 (singular number) 5 full container cycles. The other 7. If you have these, you know they are not cheap. If you don't have a zero water....well depending on your use, plan on spending A LOT of money on filters. HMMM then again the genius is the maker who probably knew this and figured how many years would they sell the system AND the fortune...

Overall experience with these filters has been fair. Of the fifteen filters I have used over the past four years, about four have been defective. This last filter lasted only four weeks until the filtered water began to have a heavy plastic taste. Immediately threw the filter out. (Are your filters made in China?).

Here in Charleston our water Total Dissolved Solids only measure about 90ppm so I only have to change the filter every 3 months or so. If your water has higher levels of TDS you will have to change more frequently and it may not be cost effective. We have never noticed bad smells or odors from the filter even when it gets old and slows down. When the filter gets clogged the filtering slows down and starts leaving tiny bits of black charcoal...

This filter initially tasted very good.I thought I had found the filter I was looking for until it started smelling fishy. The filter would sometimes last only weeks until it started smelling fishy again. I have bought another filter and will not be using this again. What is the fishy smell from? It smells very much like it has a bacterial problem. I have nothing left to say but I have to say that I'm expected to have at least 100 words. I hope...

We purchased a new zero water pitcher and filled once a day for 24 straight days using for our coffee. The 25th day i poured a glass of water and the taste was that of a poison. We bought a new one and that last 21 days . I am hoping either we bought defective filters or the tap water in Ann Arbor is so bad it is prematurely clogging the filters .we are now testing every pitcher of water before using for coffee. If third one last less...

I HAVE HAD THIS FILTER FOR ONLY 3 WEEKS AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE WATER TASTES AWFUL. IT HAS AN ACIDIC TASTE. I TRIED TO CONTACT THE COMPANY BY PHONE AND LEFT A MESSAGE SINCE THEY DID NOT ANSWER. HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REPLY FROM THEM. ALSO SENT AN EMAIL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS RETURNED UNDELIVERED TWICE. OBVIOUSLY ZERO WATER IS NOT INTERESTED IN MAKING GOOD THE PROMISES THEY DO WHEN THEY ADVERTISE THIS PRODUCT. THEIR CUSTOMER...

I fill it only a couple of times a week so you can understand that I have not used many gallons of water over that course yet I'm on my second set of filters - why? because some really odd, acidic taste shows up after a while and it's undrinkable - this is water I give to my dog as well and if I'm in a hurry and don't taste the water every time I filter it - I run the risk of him not being able to drink it while I'm away at work... I can't...
