Zerowater - Zd-018 Water Filtration System Review

Worked great for the first month. Went to get a glass of water this morning and out of nowhere was a fishy acidic taste.
Small, hard, gold oily looking bubble in the top.
My 10 year old kid suggested that maybe that's what makes the meter read zero as the last reading for the last pitcher read 001 and the reading from the very next filling was 857 which is more than comes from the tap. What are we drinking?
Reason of review: Bad quality.

I bought a pitcher for clean water I thought it would last longer than 2 weeks. I am skilled with water with the company I work for.
A brine and charcoal filter should last for over 100000 gallons of water not 40...and as far as these cheesy test instruments they don't work it gives you a bad reading so you will buy these over priced filters. I took a sample of filtered water to work and tested the results were fine after the toy they send says it's bad
Thank you for reaching out to us and we are sorry to hear of your experience. When you notice a difference in taste/smell this means the filter has been exhausted.
Filter life depends on your household water consumption and the amount of TDS in you unfiltered tap water. We cannot determine if the filter failed prematurely as we have no indication of your tap water quality nor the daily water consumption. Additionally in regards to the yellow beads which are in the top reservoir these are ion exchange beads. This is not a normal occurrence for these to be in the reservoir.
This could have happened from too much water pressure or if the filtered has dried out .
